Spoonhead Endli: acquired or congenital?

I got my Endli last Dec @ 5". Its now 10"+ and doing well-fat and active.
But I've noticed lately its taken on a spoonhead appearance-the head/neck is curved...a spoonhead appearance essentially.

My question: is this congenital (it never had it before) or is it acquired?
