Well, seen as The Masked Shadow The Masked Shadow couldn't be bothered starting a new year thread, and decided to continue with the old 2021 thread, I thought I'd start one for this year, lol.

Part of my 2022 fitness regime is to totally give up on sugary snacks, I will be reporting my journey in my "new year's resolutions" thread shortly. I'm a self confessed chocolate, cake, biscuits and toffees addict.

I've done a few short runs so far this year, no biking yet, but I will be upping my game considerably as we reach springtime and beyond.

Feel free to post your activities, goals or even failures, it's all in the name of fun.

Goal for this winter bulk was to achieve the following by march
120kg bench
120kg squat
175kg deadlift
75kg OHP

Currently standing at 105 bench, squat I can't do cause injured, 150kg Deadlifts and 67,5 OHP
I reckon I'm going to achieve 2/4 but that's not enough lol

I don't really have any goals for 2022, I'm just going to keep cruising along, doing what I do.....

I ran a ''100'' mile race last Sat/Sun in Arizona. When it was all said and done, it was actually 103.5 miles and I finished it in 26:11 (I hit the 100 mile mark in 25:20). Needless to say, I feel like 180 lbs of deep fried poop this week.

Well just so you know, cycling practically kills me. I don't know how y'all do it. Aside from the lycra kits and whatnot, I have much RESPECT for the hell that you put yourselves through.

My dog and I walk the woods and follow a creek. It's shaded and a beautiful walk. Lots of wading birds (herons), small bass & sunfish, hawks and the occasional wild boar or deer. Great exercise for the both of us we do 5-6 miles a day here weather permitting.

I'll give you all a laugh when I start riding my bike again, i'll post a pic of me in all my gear, lol.

I must admit though, there is something mildly erotic about wearing all that skin tight, and rather revealing attire!

I think I look pretty good in it actually, until some yob brings me crashing back to earth by yelling profanities from the open window of his passing van, lol.

esoxlucius esoxlucius I tend to run in pretty normal length shorts and shirts. Here I am at the finish line last Sunday. I had to wear a jacket as it was only about 50F and it had been even colder that night.

I've just been crunching a few figures. 100 miles is about 165km. So 25:20 puts you at a steady 9 mins or so per km. That is pretty good over such a long distance.

I'm around 4.5 mins per km, but over laughably shorter distances than your ton. If I did that pace in a 100 miler I'd be dead at 15 km!!

Do you have a preconceived idea of where you need to be timewise per km and try and stick to that to achieve your finishing goal?
