Does anyone know if there is a spotlight style light that would work for growing maybe one or two plants in an eight foot long tank? Does anyone have experience with this? I really dont want to use the wattage to light the whole thing, the heater is bad enough on a 240
spotlight?

go buy the largest watt you can get in a CFL...home depot carries daylight 6500K bulbs for 6-7bucks plus 5-6 bucks for light socket....there ya go...
