Hello Everyone,

Just picked up one of these bad boys today and was wondering if its also know as Cichla Piquiti? How large do these generally get?

I'd be weary of generic names, I'd post pics once it's settled in and more than likely someone on here can determine the species.

Just did a yahoo! search for it and it seems Cichla temensis comes up under that generic name. You're talking about a 30"+ fish, normally 36" is their max. size although there is a member on here who has a 40" temensis

cichla piquiti is also known as tha azul not temensis but will see what he has when he post the pic
