I have been noticing these "white spots" on the side of the tank.
they are about this size: "_"
basically oval shaped ****e. they are hard. and they are really stuck on tight to the glass, decor, gravel what ever theyre on.

I noticed this after i added a snail to the tank. I removed the snail thinking they were perhaps snail eggs. and cleaned the tank. After leaving the snail alone in its own tank, I saw no white ovals in the tank, so i re-introduced the snail to the tank. and its been about a month now.

The "white spots-ovals" are back now. I am unsure of what they are.

I house 8 female bettas in this tank. it is a 55gallon.
1 marineland biowheel i think the one that uses "C" filtters
and one eheim 2213 canister.
20%water changes.
(There is a lil bit of algae and etc growth in the tank bc thats the natural habitat of bettas).
I have a bristlenose in the tank to keep most of it under control
4 corie cats and 2 silver hatchets.

I want to know what was the cause of these white dots? and also what it really is? they look like lil grains of white rice sticking to the glass and such.
Also, is this dangerous? I've never experienced this before.

after lookin online, i think they may be snail eggs. but its strnage bc when i moved the snail to silitude, there where no white spots in snail's tank....

anyone had these before?

LOL! I just take their mood for laying eggs as a sign they are doing well in the tank. Won't hatch though unless it's in brackish conditions. The eggs will just dissolve on their own.

thanks.
i see the eggs have turned a whitish color now.

is there any fish or other specimen that i could add into this tank to eat the eggs?

None will eat the eggs. They're hard to remove. I just let them dissolve on their own anyway.
