Spotted ancistrus

Is a spotted ancistrus a type of Bushy Nose? If so how, big do they get and will they get along w/ other plecos.? It is black w/white spots. Is 9 bucks a good price for a 2-2.5".

Depends on the specific plec. Bushy/bristlenose plecos are all ancistrus. A pic will help.

Yup bushynose= are Ancistrus. However with 50-60+ species "spotted" doesn't help much with identifying individual species. If it is brown with a lighter brown/whitish spots, 9 bucks is probably too much...

Didn't take a pic at the shop. It was black w/ sparch white specks. I looked on planetcatfish and yea they are a lot that fit the bill.

There are a few species that are black with white spots. It have a white strip down the edge of the caudal?
