about a week ago we had a nice storm move in, found a break in the weather and started gearing up for it while the rain was still pouring.

got there around 7ish and it was WFO. farmed a few and landed a few.

started with the bleeding mac on a weedless head, these guys are the most stubborn and hardest fish to take tape shots.

oh and this one...

lost both my weedless lead heads to the same boat... so i tied on a skirted weedless leadhead with a green tailed hammer.

first cast i get hit and its a drag puller, on it for about 15 seconds and its gone... this happened several times with this leadhead... idk why.

got on the docks and got this toad.

did a mixture of swimming and jigging and both produced well.

even decided to walk along a clear section and "troll" it along. it worked too.

went over to that boat and got one of my leadheads back.

was fun. .. so the next day i went back.

a bit windy and got a little wet, but... it was worth it.

actually caught a fish on the LC

there were a few i didnt take pics of.. figured it'd be too much

now its time to get back on the rays and sharks.

a few days later my buddy and i hooked up after work to hit up some more spotties. the better weather had them on the move and not as concentrated as they were during the storm. we both ended up with 5 or 6 each throwing Big Hammer's and the skirted heads with BH combo.

at one point the bite shut off completely and i was doing a slow retrieve and then stopped, let it sink for about 4 seconds then started the retrieve and got hit hard but missed it. i told Zac what happend and told him to try it. we both do a few casts, get hits but no hookups then Zacs on, and he says its a decent fish. I stop mid retrieve and tell him, "hey i wonder what would happen if i bounce it a little...?" so i start twitching it on the bottom, give it a good bounce and BAM! fish on! it's a double hookup, we get them on the deck and we both have 14.5-15" bass.

quick tapes, pics and off they went to destroy some more smelt and crabs. (Zac had one spit up a few crabs and we could see them hitting the smelt)

cool deal look like fun fish to catch!
