Hey y'all! I'm new to the forums but I have a question about a Con of mine. I've been linebreeding cons for years, but have never seen one quite like this. I've seen marble cons (pink with black markings), regular pinks and 'wild type' blacks. This fish came form a black father and black mother, who themselves were produced form several generations of wild type fish. He himself is similar to a traditional black con, but is "spotted" instead of striped. anyone else ever see this before?

Any info appreciated!

Looks like a short body shape, ive seen marbled but it looked different than this, more kind of mottled instead of distinct spots

Thanks for the positive feedback everyone! He is really coming along nicely. I've paired him with a female from the same spawn who exhibits some of the "spotted" coloring and their fry have hatched and are free swimming. I will be very interested to see their coloration as they develop.
