Spotted catfish true size?

Everywhere I look on the web it's been telling me different sizes. Everything from 8"-12". Wondering if anyone was kept these and knows.

EDIT: I ment spotted BULLHEAD catfish, my bad.

It depends on the type of bullhead, but I had one, I believe it was a brown, which maxed out 13 inches. He was really heavy though, all of it muscle!

If you mean Ameiurus serracanthus http://www.planetcatfish.com/catelog/species.php?species_id=1089 (which yours does not appear to look like), then mine was ~14" total length. Note that the PlanetCatfish page cites standard length (excluding the caudal fin).

A wonderful, inquisitive, interactive pet fish to keep.
