Spotted Gar or Alligator Gar??? HELP ME!

Hi this is Lee from Saint Paul,
I recently bought this Gar from "A World of Fish" located in Minneapolis.
The description on there say it was an Alligator Gar but now after researching I'm starting to think i got ripped off because the one I have looks like a spotted or Shortnose Gar. I checked the upper jaw but the teeth were way too small to tell if the second line of teeth was there or not.I don't know if this is how they look like when they are small, mine is roughly 7-8 inches. The spots is kind of different from florida or spotted Gar so PLEASE ANYONE help me!!!!!!

all i can say is that it definitely is not a gator.
