Shopkeeper Told me its a Florida gar while I bought him..he was lil bigger than my finger

Looks more like a Spotted Gar, to me. I'm not 100% sure, though. What's going on with that snout?

It was like that from beginning, maybe a deformity from birth or injury from when he was in the breeding farm or something
