Picked up this gar at a local store he was listed as a spotted gar and was a baby when I got him maybe 4 inches. He's already pushing 8 inches now but was curious if he is a spotted gar a lot of the ones I've seen have a lighter coloration maybe because mine is still a juvenile or hes a different species not sure this is my first Gar and would love to know the proper speciesIMG_0658.JPG

I'll do that as soon as i get back from work. It's disappointing but should have taken my time to do my research. As long as i have him he'll be treated well.

Talk with ur lfs and see if u can get ur money back or get another fish for the same money spent. Although likely may not happen.

I’ve thought about this but it’s been alittle over a month now so it seems to be alittle too late
