Spotted gars and bichirs

hi all,

im planning to get a bichir in replacement for an alligator gar. are bichirs good tankmates for spotted gars? roughly 7 and 8 inches spotted.

haha gosh! i sound pretentious. reiterated: bichirs are good tankmates as long as the size difference isn't too great. must have been tired, i don't even remember typing the above....:O

they seem to be okay and gars are really good tankmates.

I had at one point kept a Senegal 5" with a 10 +" Longnose Gar with 100% peaceful co-existence. I would venture to say that the same could be said with spotted gar even at twice the size of the Bichir.
