How many sgp's can I house in a 75gl? I would like at least two & a few Malawi cichlids if possible, any input is appreciated,,, thx

Well it depends. If your wanting to run an eventual saltwater setup which these need long term then probably 2 with live rock in the tank. 3 with live rock in the sump. These puffers need a minimum high end brackish which I'm not sure the cichlids will be able to survive.

Malawi cichlid will either harrass the puffers causing an illness or will be ripped to shreds by the puffers. Not a good idea.

Agreed, I figured the Malawi's would'nt last long term, as for salinity I don't know much about live rocks? I was gonna add some limestone rocks along with crushed rocks & possible add marine salt if need be, I'm hoping that will be sufficient enoff, while monitoring p/h levels, but then again this will be my first semi marine tank & I'm open to suggestions ' thx again,

Semi marine is expensive. These guys are messy. Big waterchanges plus .015-.020 sg adds up quick with salt prices. Argonite sand, live rock from dead coral (I like reef saver or Texas holy rock), and a skimmer would be the way to go imo. You can get away with tap water, but use ro water for topoffs. It costs more up front, but is way way cheaper in the long run.
