Spotted pike characins rarely exceed 12" in the aquarium.They are quite difficult to get feeding as they tend to feed topwater or midwater i.e. they only rarely take food from the bottom.When small feed chopped prawn,mussell,cockle and whitebait.When large feed whole whitebait by skimming them on top of the water.Heres the worst part.They are extremely skittish and frequently damage themselves by hitting the sides of the tank.They must be placed in an area that doesnt get much movement past preferably a corner,and lining the sides with foam just makes their snouts get stuck.A specialist fish.
