I have now tried frozen bloodworms, diced shrimp, and sinking shrimp pellets, yet he has no interest in them.

I do have small mosquito fish as in the same tank, hoping he hunts those.

also the food he ignores gets reduced to nothing by the tank's snail population.

Should i be worried.

Ammonia 0ppm , nitrite 0ppm, nitrate about 20ppm.

Water is a clear brown from driftwood, as a hide he uses in the day at night he sticks himself to the driftwood below where the filter spills out the freshly filtered water.


he doesn't seem to be thin.

How big is he. I have a stripped cat, he loves the home made fish food I make for him. Its pretty much blended fish with multivitamin, spinich and carrots.

I've never seen my spotted eat, ever, but he stays nice and fat even with a hoplo sucking down all the food he can find.

I would say he is around four inches long and 1 3/4 to 2 inches around in the thickest part of him.
