i saw a small catfish today listed as a "spotted shovelnose". it was about 1-2" long, so it was hard for me to tell, but i would bet my money that it was a TSNxRTC
the girl said it wasn't, but that it was in the same family.
it was listed at a max size of 18", and $30 i think
this place usually lists their fish pretty accurately, and a 4" RTC goes for 60, and a 2-3" tsn goes for 30

i took pics, but he is so small they didnt turn out.

it had a rounded nose and whiskers like a RTC, a white stripe down the side, and a brown and spotted nose

is it a RTCxTSN or is there something else it could be?

Sounds like a hemi to me also

if it was that cat, it was too small to tell it. to me it looked like a RTC except it was brown and not black and spotted on the nose. the picture of the juvi on planetcatfish looks like it had a TSN mouth, but the one at the store was more rounded like a RTC
any idea what the hemi looks like at 1-2"?

without the pics of him its hard to tell.
but by the way your describing him, looks like a rts x tsn to me too

Sounds like a marble x rtc? Pix would be easier, like they say, pictures speaks a thousand words.
Spotted shovelnose, is Pseudoplatystoma corruscans, try typing in Pintado in google and checking out images ;)

The description sounds like an RTCxTSN to me too.
