Spotted shovelnose Cats?

Anyone know a lot about them? Some people say 18" max size some people say 14", one said 30". Im so confused lol, anyone with some insight? I think theyre just a beautiful fish, especially if theyre on the small side of the shovelnoses.

And I'm no expert on the genus, but that doesn't look like a spotted shovelnose (P. corruscans) to me. I think it looks more like a P. punctifer or P. fasciatum.

Well the pic you have added is a tiger shouvel nose and will quite easely reach the 2 foot mark++

Is this a fish you have just bougth or are thinking about?

ANY of the Pseudoplatystomaspecies will attain a Min of 36" & upwards given time & room.
Huge predatory catfish.

Are you talking Hemisorubim platyrhynchos?

Here's the page from Planetcatfish.com. They have the max size as 20''. I've been thinking about getting one of these as well. Only problem I see is that they like colder water, 68-71 F.
