Spray Bar or not?

Hi all, I use a large canister filter on my 5x2x2. It has a spray bar, which I want to remove because it seems to slow down the water flow, and looks really ugly in the tank. Would it be ok to remove the spray bar, so the water enters the tank through a single pipe?

Yes....In fact I set all of my cannisters up that way for the same reason. Spray bars have thier place but most tanks don't need them IMO.
