Yes, I believe so.
Point your spraybars up slightly so that they agitate the water surface a bit to aid in oxygen transfer.... similar to what an HOB and airstone do.

I prefer the power jet style of output as found as an option on the Rena XP canisters.
the spray bars are good if you want a quieter, less turbulent output, like if you have fragile plants near the water's surface etc.
