Just picked up a Jaguar Cichlid earlier today, and was wondering if i paint a clear vase to add for a hiding spot, if it would be safe? All i have right now is spray paint, but would any paint work? If not, is there some special kind of paint i could use?

I DID NOT PAINT ANYTHING YET! I AM ASKING YOU GUYS FIRST AS TO AVOID ANY UNWATED CONSEQUENCES!

So, is there some sort of paint that would be safe to use for deco inside of the aquarium?

I used spray paint to paint a vase on a fountain, 2 weeks the paint was coming off, I think it best to let this one go. However, The one vase I clear coated seems fine. I would'nt risk it unless you painted it and let it sit in water for a while to see what it does.

its called krylon something

If you want added hiding space you can add some pvc and use krylon fusion spray paint, alot of guys use it for their diy overflows, dont know how the paint sticks to glass but you could try it on the vase if youd like

yea it sticks to glass, Best IMHO
