i think im just going to spray paint the faom, will that be an issue with the water running.will it pollute the water or make it harmful for fish irt weill have time to cure...any other ideas?

The foam is OK, unsure on the paint. There is a company that makes black foam for rockwork around the falls. If you need to do more foaming, I can get you a number.
Beckett (@HD) supplies black spray foam for the above mentioned.
