Sounds like a good question for jcardona1:naughty:

My friends at the gun shops here in town love them.I want one and started a thread long ago but cant find it.Now I just need the money, its killing me,I want it now,my only hand gun is an awesome colt 45 gov 1911 but its so sentemental I dont want it stolen or anything so I want the XD so I can put this in a safe.Maybe I can start a fundraiser, lol.

They're nice well made weapons but I still prefer the 1911 if you want something that shoots .45ACP.
my 1911 jams alot if I dont use real good ammo,I hear alot of them jam like that.True?

I have a XD and its a great gun. I wouldnt say they are second to Glock personally, I dont know of anything that makes glock better. I think Glocks are great guns but I don't like to shoot them, they dont feel very natural to me and I am not very accurate with them. XD's on the other hand are the most comfortable and natural feeling gun I have shot.

I never had problems with my Colt but I also never shot crappy ammo threw it. I guess I'm just partial to a 1911 because it was my first hand gun and I shot it a lot.

My dad has a Glock 20 (10mm) and it was alright to shoot but I never got really good with it.
Last weekend I shot my friend's Glock 32 which shoots a .357 Sig. I wasn't that impressed with it. Of course I was shooting at a 50 yard target, lol.

Another guy I know has a Springfield XD .40 cal that is pretty nice to shoot. I like the feel of the gun better than a Glock.

1911's are cool and a classic but i want to try a polymer, with double stack...i looked at the full size glock 21 and didnt like the feel of the grip, it felt like i was gonna get carpal tunnel while firing it, the grip was a little too big for my taste and i'm only 5'11 plus the angle of glocks needs some time to get used to, but dont get me wrong i still dream of getting a G21sf if ever it becomes available

yay XD's!!!! :D i have an XD-45 and I love it, its a great gun. i dont think you'll find anything bad about it. the only people that have anything bad to say about them are glock-freaks that will never shoot anything but a glock. and i agree with Baroom. i dont like glocks. in fact, i HATE them! they may be great guns, but i just dont like them. they feel like im holding a piece of lumber in my hand and i dont like the finish on them.

if youre looking for a polymer frame handgun, the XD is worth looking at. here's a cheesy pic of mine :D
