As above,

anyone feeding their fish, pure spriulina powder mixed with feed?

What effect you see and after how long, if any.

I just bought a 100g pack and going to test out with my cichlids before giving to my arowana and rays

Tried to do a search but not much info

Appreciate any sharing, positive or negative

I started a similar post recently, regarding both liquid and powdered spirulina, there's a bit of info there: https://www.monsterfishkeepers.com/forums/threads/supplementing-with-spirulina.716964/

But I haven't actually tried mixing it with their food since that thread -- btw, how do you plan to mix the powder with feed (and so that it doesn't come off easily when it hits the water)?

So far for cichlids, I just pour it into the bag of hikari pellets and shake it. Then I take the pellets out and feed... most of them hit the pellets the moment it touches the water

For frozen food like shrimp and yellow scad I will just mix it up and throw in , then see how it goes

I testing on cichlids first as the product is from China lol

China is one of the world's biggest producers of spirulina, so somebody is buying and using it -- I'd bet your cichlids will see some nice results (just let us know if they start turning radioactive green, growing additional fins or the like :)

Why not just feed pellets that contain spirulina to your cichlids?

That is fine for cichlids but I still have ITs , aro, discus and Rays that I would like to feed the spirulina if beneficial and almost all don't eat pellets

Will post for sale if they become x men

Prep for aro... gutload superworms with hikari carnisticks and spriulina powder

I don't see any spirulina powder. Is that what the white stuff is supposed to be?
