Some time ago when I went camping my brother and I caght a bunch of little fish to be used as feeders for my cichlids. We caught 7 and threw them in and all but one was quickly gobbled up. It avoided them long enough to get too big to eat and well I just kept it for a while. However about 8 or so months later it died as it was a river fish from moving water (The Merced River) and I guess just couldn't live that long in still water. Anyone else ever try to raise one or keep one?

I have kept northern pike minnows for short periods but they get pretty big and require cool water and good filtration and a power head doesn't hurt, they are not as temperature sensitive as trout though, just keep the O2 level up.
