Has anyone ever used this product?
I found large pieces of squid, not sure if its a new product, but going to try.
Usually around here all I can find is chopped up squid.
I make a DYI food that I use from time to time to change things up and
have always wanted to put squid in it.

I also wanted squid that I could feed in large chunks and also have for my salt tanks..

So I found this stuff.
California all natural pet foods makes it.
Squid mantles- frozen
8oz packs are around 10.00 bucks if you buy direct.. I pay around 7.00 from the guy I get it from.

Fed today, most of the rays like it. Some dont. Not sure if its to chewy for them or not.
Will feed to the salt tanks later tonight.

Has anyone ever used this product???

here is their web site. I got my guy to order them for me, and I get them cheaper than they sale online..
Might try and see if your LFS can do the same.
Look under products, then under flash frozen...

You can get those at the market for a lot cheaper than that, and the ones I get come with the legs also, not just the mantle

I looked at my local market. Didnt have it unless it was cooked, which is not what I wanted.

squid is actually really low in nutrients so it can't be fed as a staple without being supplemented

One of the things I feed my rays is seafood medley. It has squid, scallops, shrimp, clams and octopus They love it but I just use it as a treat once a week.

I buy raw squid from a local grocery store. My rays all eat it, but I cut it into small pieces.
