SRD male X F2 kamfa female pair

This is my latest pair I'm working on. Both fish are from Wut at lakefishExport. The female laid last night and this morning I transferred the eggs to a 10g with the same tank water from my breeding tank with a heater set at the same temp and a cycled sponge filter.

Thanks man. Let's just hope he's fertile...this is his first time so as exciting as it is, it might be a couple more times before I get some viable fry. They get along well though. She beat him up a little, but not bad. I've seen worse.

if he's not fertile, at least you know she is.. Some females wont lay eggs unless you have the right male to make them want to. I had a kk fm, laid once in her life. Some never lay at all(that's infertile female)

The funny part is this is the first time she's ever laid. I've had her since she was a baby at 3". She's now 5" an thick. I really wasn't expecting a whole plate full of eggs but there's an easy 5-600 maybe more. Here is a video of them right after she laid.

Thanks Troy. The male is nice, but I almost think I like the female more LOL. She's sexy. The pair should definitely throw a few nice pearly SRD's. Finger crossed 😊

Update-first batch was a dud. Almost all the eggs went bad. This was the males first time though so I wasn't surprised. Guess we'll have to wait until next time.
