Probably not, but if you're in Brooklyn, it's worth taking a look at. Petland Discounts at Brighton Beach, under the subway line. (So at about Brighton 5th.) Looked like a regular carpinte to me, but you locals might want to take a look. Looked male to me, maybe 5-6 inches long. If it is a SRT, it hasn't faded yet.

No pics. I only went into the store to get warm. It was January 1st and I had just finished wandering the boardwalk at Coney.

i'm pretty sure their just regular carpinte, the manager at my local petland told me that they won't turn red like the nice srts, im thinking that petland may be trying to boost its sales by getting carpinte and calling them srt, but they are nice fish either way
