SRT Female and Green Male Pair

Well i got these two paired out and pulled out the other female so these two can have the tank to themselves. The SRT is 4.5-5" and is from Lakefish and has peeled a bit since i got her. The lighting doesnt do either one justice, it kinda washes out the female a little and i dont have bright gravel or background to help enhance any colors. the Green Tex is 8.5" and from Rainnybetta:) It looks like the female is ready to spawn soon.

The fins on those fish are amazing.. The face on the male looks like one of the aliens from avatar. Very cool

Thank you, I'm really enjoying the pair. I would have thought the male to be more aggressive with the female, but I guess he's more of a teddy bear lol
 
Yes the male is hybrid. Bought him from rainnybeta's breeding program:) by the way the female was acting today, I should have eggs this weekend;) I got my fingers crossed
 
Well I just got home from work and was turning off the tank lights and noticed that my female is laying eggs:headbang2 hopefully the male will do his job:) ill know in a couple days!!
 
Update.

well they did spawn and today i noticed alot of eggs missing... so it looks like theyre eating the eggs:( Oh well, i looked around for another spot to put the eggs to continue growing them out since the ones that are left are fertile, but i dont have anywhere atm so i know theyll spawn again and ill be ready next time. maybe they wont finish off all the eggs?? anyway this was progress for me and the pair:)
