As for $65.00? Its not a bad price by any means. Double check the shipping charges and be sure those aren't super high. All in all if you like the fish? Cost is errelavent if it fits you're budget!
i saw some quality 3 inches on AQ for 50. i think it was rainybetta. they were already red and showing more color and pearls than that one. is that one local? it looks like it is going to have good fins. 65 is going to be cheaper than 50 plus shipping. it might be worth growing out to see how it turns out. you could always sell it later if you don't like it.

To me no.. even if that's the best I could get for $65.00 I would rather save another $150.00 and get something with more potential..
yeah, you should go to aquabid. those 3 inchers are nice. they are very red already and very pearly. if i had the money right now i would get one for sure.
sorry i went back to aquabid to check and they are 100. it looks like one of them sold already so there are only two left. definately worth the extra 35 though

I've never kept red texas so I was thinking that it would maybe get brighter as it ages.
I know this could still happen, but it would probably be my best bet to buy fry that are already very bright in color like the ones on aquabid.
Side question, anyone know where to find shortbody FH? I can find low quality Kirrin Parrots but no Bonsai/Shortbody FH.
