no where
im thinking that i maybe should make an all convict tank ( right now i have 3 cons with a JD and a BP and a reef type mbuna ) put the reef mbuna and teh BP and the JD in one tank and the cons in the other tank ( both 15s i now to small but pond commin this summer 10000 gallon but gonna be for cichs ) so what u think one 15 all cons and the other 15 JD-7 inches female ful grown
bp-8 inches fullgrown
reef-4 inches full grown

sooooooo? any1 think i can pull it off?

not at all ur jd isnt done growing both are entirely too small either way. what do you have them in now? go invest in at least a 55 for all of them.

just do the math u are asking if you can put a 7 and 8 inch fish into a 15 gallon tank, this is like locking you and another person in a small room without being allowed out for any amount of time.

OK WITHIN june or july im getting the 40 ( i can get two if i put up my two 10s so should i get two or no? if i get two then its 90.00 ( whichi think is worth it ) sooo

one 40 and two 10s or
two 40s

which one?

First of all, I've seen MANY convict-only tanks at stores, and it is true they fight - that's what they do - but overall once everyone knows their place, if fed adequately, and cared for well, things should settle down. It's just that no fry will survive.
As for the Jack Dempsey - 7 inches is an average sized ADULT jack dempsey, so yes, you are right on the fully grown status. It is very rare to see a JD larger than that. It does happen, but rarely so.
Third, as for the tanks - two 40's sound better. You cannot really do that much with 10's.
