ST vs Tarpon

everytime i attempt to put my indo tarpon in there, it ends up gettin beat up.... and i know it couldnt be anythin else in the tank cuz there r only a couple smaller IT and some bichirs... bichirs cant do that much damage... so it gotta be that big 9" ST hittin on my 10" tarpon ....
especially durin night time...
could it be because tarpon's scale is shiny, so ST mistaken the scales as small fishies (food) ?
is there a solution to this? some way to train so it wouldnt attack silvery thing?

Thats the way it goes my friend. every time I tried a barramundi, fei feng, or anything silver scaled=scales everywhere. It takes some time but and patience but they settle after awhile and can co-exist.

awww.... but strange though, my mundi is fine wit my ST

the thing is, i doubt my ST will ever settle wit the tarpon , cuz i had the tarpon in wit the ST together for months before , didnt work out (thats why i moved it) ... guess it just wont give up...

could it be because they were in a 180? when i have my 300 up, will a bigger tank solve the problem?

hmm.. interesting thought. I have an NTT in a 125 with 4 tinfoil barbs in with it. I see scratches on the barbs. I wonder if its from the datnoid. If they dont get along with silver scaled fish, how come people always suggest the barbs and silver dollars being dither fishs for datnoids?
