I have recently picked up some new Indos I brought them home and they were stable for about 2 weeks now they are constantly fluctuating from stable to unstable. There aren't any aggressive tank mates and the tank is clean, the water is about 78*F+. There are plenty of hiding place that they use often. Im not sure what Im doing wrong. Are there any obvious reasons they are not stable?, or is it just normal?

You're probably not doing anything wrong. Dats are really tricky when it comes to their stability. I really don't think that their color stability determines if they're stress or not. I've have my Dats for a year now. Sometimes they're stable, sometimes they're not.

Give them time. Hopefully they will turn around for ya.

Just keep up a steady consistent maintenance program and hopefully they will stay stable for ya.

This is totally normal Indo behaviour. Only time will tell.

alright good to know I also have 2 ntt they have always been stable is this typical?

My ntts are more stable then my indos but I know if that's the norm

Generally, all the ntt I have had are a bit better and staying stable than indos.
A bit of luck along the way as well ;)
