Stable???

I'm setting up a 220 and am thinking about getting Dats. I see in alot of threads people talking about them being stable/unstable. What does that mean?

they turn dark "unstable" some stay stable some change back and fourth all the time.
I think some stay dark not sure.

it's unclear why they do it.

Ok, so it's just a color thing not a health problem?

as far as I know just a color thing. Some people don't like them unstable and some do.

Isnt it a sign of stress when your fish change colour from bright to dark
