Hey all, so my wife found a deal on face book, 2 75 gallon tanks with a stacked stand and 55 gallon sump $100 couldn’t say no, not much for tanks here in Kamloops. So this is my first sump ever, I have the 75s full and aqua clear 50s circulating the water and I have some sponges in my little 33 gallon I will put in soon, tell I get my sump situation figured out. I built a quick stand to put the sump in to keep the kids out of it, still have to finish it off, for now I will move my 33 gallon on top of it just to have all my fish in one place, I built it so it could hold a 3rd 75 down the road if I find a good deal lol. I still have to finish plumbing the drainage and return piping, both tanks share a common drain and return piping from the sump. Just trying to brainstorm how I will set up this sump. The first chamber is 6” wide with a 16” tall baffle the second chamber is 4.5” wide and exits out the bottom, the third chamber is 12.5” wide x 14” tall, the forth chamber is 7.5” wide x 12” tall, the fifth chamber is 5” wide x 9” tall, the last baffle is just 1” wide and exits the bottom to the pump chamber which is 9.5” wide x 10” tall. I am terrible at drawing be here are my thoughts did a quick sketch on my stand. Added a pic of my 33 gallon and my 55 gallon axolotl tank and my work in progress 200 gal lol my wife is storing things on my stand now
I better get back on it lol. Any input is appreciated. Thanks in advance.
