Just picked up a new Andinoacara w/ white trim on it's dorsal/caudal fins, 1st time I ever seen one in person - guys gave me $5-off so I snatched it up. Gonna post some pics, I tried to ID it, and I'm leaning towards male but whether it's just a White Saum - the white-finned Rivulatus or an actual Stahlsbergi is beyond me.

Gotta snap some shots of him, but i'm in the middle of a few things atm, so bear with me. I also wondered if it might be a hybrid RivulatusXStahlsbergi too.

Fairly certain that it's a rivulatus with with/silver edges. The dark blotches are surrounded by green and if you look at stalsbergi its the other way around, green blotches surrounded by dark in almost a chain like pattern.

Agree with above, definitely rivulatus. Looks like a young male.
you guys see more of a "black dots in a row" as opposed to a diamond type of pattern?

He/she is beautiful! You should name it Clifton if its a boy or Agnis if its a girl. :P

Knowledge-schmowledge, enjoy some threads, people only get trolled who do trolling lol thank u also for the compliments, he had a 8"+ male Gold Saum also for $75, but I wanted the white one cuz I never had one before and I already have 3 Golds. I really felt like it was a male so that helped my decision and the $55 I saved on this little 4" guy added to it too lol he'll grow.....they always do :D
