Any one ever attempted this? are the fumes from the wood stain harmful to the fish? are there any protective measures or is it better to just move the fish.
staining a stand while tank is stocked

How large is the tank? What is the filtration system?
Would it be plausible to set up a cinder block and 2x6 stand for temp use til the stand is stained??

i didnt like the wall look so i changed it to a floor to sealing wooden stand and canopy. i kinda wish now that i would have stained it before i put it together but was thinking i could go with the unfinished wood look. i could move it to a temp stand but it would be alot of work.
i think i see where your going with it..lol. i may just settle for the unfinished look until i have a looog weekend to devote.
