So i've started to build my stand for my 6x2x2 today. I'm doing the tried and tested joey design off you tube. One problem i've foreseen already is the fact that my tank has one bottom drill hole which is 3" or so in from the corner. My 2x4 timber dimensions are actually two by three and three quarters. So that means that where my drill hole is 3" in from the corner, my stand is going to overlap the hole by almost an inch!!!! However, i can get round this by moving the support leg for that corner about 6" along. So i'll have 3 corner legs, 2 central support legs and this one corner leg slightly further along from the back corner. It won't be seen once wrapped so aesthetics aren't an issue. I'll also be topping the stand off with ply. So the question is....will the stands structural integrity still be good with this one corner slighty off corner?
