I've got a bit of an odd situation, I'm filtering my reef by using a 150 gallon rubbermaid stock tank. It's worked well but I want to incorporate a 3' by 2' by 2' foot acrylic tank that I have and use that as a refugium.

What I was thinking about doing was using 2 small aquablox and 1 larger one and create an H then overlay that with a 2 heavy-duty fountain base grate to create a full bottom ( using 2 and will cut sideways so the bottom is larger than the tank, and then top that with insulation foam. Then put the tank on top of that (inside of the stock tank). I know that ideally, I'd be able to use aquablox so that everything was supported beyond edge to edge however because of the internal dimensions the H shape will have two areas on either side that aren't supported to the edge. So will the heavy-duty fountain base grate and foam displace enough weight so that those gaps won't matter?

I can't post links but the products I'm planning to use are titled as below on Amazon:
