I have a five foot 120 gallon tank that is foot long. I would like to know if there is a problem placing this tank on a 6 foot metal stand that fits the width of the tank fine and is also rated for 125 gallons.

If it is a wrought iron stand with the bracing in the middle it should be fine aslong as everything is matched out good. Imo I would push the tank over to one end to get that extra bracing and then use a 2x4 on the other side for a little extra support. or something a long those lines.
