My 12" orino and stingray are currently on frozen prawn as their staple food with the occasional chopped frozen anchovy. Would it be better if I got them eating massivore?

it would certainly be less expensive.. i'm not an advocate of processed, premade foods, but they will help stretch the fish food budget. i feed pellets also to stretch my fish food budget. i feed my cichla and the rest of the fish some kind of meat (tilapia, shrimp, scallops, chicken breast) a couple times a week and feed the pellets the rest of the days.

I don't know why, but I feel like feeding shrimp is cheaper than feeding massivore. $44 of shrimp will last me a lot longer than $44 of massivore.

Do you feed raw chicken?

I would suggest silver sides for both your ray and p's. Massivore is a lot to clean up but you will find that out. Talapia and fresh cut lake fish is best imo... but massivore will give you the chance to see if you like it or hate it. I would only feed shrimp as a treat to get them to take other foods since you already know they will eat it my 0.02.

If you do pellets go with New Life Spectrum. They have larger sizes now and the results are amazing.

I wish all my fish ate Massivore because I get sick of thawing and cutting up Tilapia. My two fish that won't eat Massivore are my big Mono and my Tig. I can get them to eat Massivore when I stuff it inside Tilapia. Hopefully they will get use to the taste and start eating just the pellets.

Don't know what kind of pellets you use for being cheaper than frozen foods. But here in central Ohio (will be even cheaper on the coasts), I can get $2 anchovy, $3 talapia, $4.50 raw shrimps/salmon per pound. No way pellets can beat those for being economical. That's what I've been feeding my pbass and fed my jar before. My pbass won't look at pellets anyway, and I have no plans in converting them anytime soon even though I still have about 5 lbs of Hikari staples left unused atm. Will they get expired?

I don't have a lot of fish to take care of, so w/c and preparing foods for them is a joy for me. Chopping shrimps to tiny pieces for my discus is taking a long time even though they're adult size. But I'm loving it...

Cut the fish fillets when I get home from the store to the ready-to-serve-size before putting them into the freezer. Do it once and it's not that painful...:)
