Ok guys, today I got a baby citrus bearded dragon from my buddy for free. Only thing is, he doesnt know whats wrong with it. Me being the kind of guy I am couldnt turn down the oppurtunity to help this little guy. He was being kept in a 16qt sterilite tub with a heat lamp above it, not on it and near a window for natural sunlight. Hes pretty thin and still a baby. Has his eyes closed and he either lays completely flat on the ground or star gazes (staring straight up with eyes closed) tried to get him to eat but nothing. I think he might be along to way to MBD (Metabolic bone disease) what you think I should do?

Windows filter out almost all of the UV. Provide sunlight directly, observe at all times, make sure there is no overheating. Get him to the vet, but wait for the better herpers like snakeguy to help you. You may need to force feed, I think.

Get him some natural light as much as you can. And for his cage get him the most powerful UVB bulb (I think it is the 15.0 or something). Set him up in the proper enclosure and keep trying to feed him, he should start eating. if this doesn't work then you may need to see a vet but be sure to find a reptile or exotic animal vet! I have seen too many animals die because of cat/ dog vets treating a beardie like it was a cat or dog.

Reptisun 10.0, follow the instructions. As far as you can, just get him natural sunlight, and direct access, most materials filter UV rays. I would say don't use particulate substrate, use paper towels.
