will a smashing mantis eat/bother a chocolat chip star? and on a second note im having some confusion about chocolate chip stars ive read somewhere that they might try to eat corals im fairly certian they dont have the ability to but i would till like to hear what someone else has to say

I know that they relish soft corals not sure about the a lps like meat polyps from personal exeperience and for secondary evidence they will eat other sps species and sponges as well. I don't know if the mantis would eat them or not but, it really wouldn't surprise me much at all . They tend to go after slow moving inverts.
