I just did my stand for a diy 5x2x2 plywood tank !! ill keep you guys updated on the build, will probably do the tank after new years. Any suggestions for the tank ? I would probably go with pond armor to waterproof the tank. And any stocking suggestions, will porbably go for CA/SA agressive cichlids.

Textbook stand my friend! Good job.
For a 150g I would keep it simple and not invest a ton of money because a glass 150 isn't going to be much cheaper...so the pondliner you plan, good quality plywood and a proper viewing window will be the top priorities....

Well, by the looks of the stand, you understand bracing....I would build it like a house....frame, skin and finish. The most important part will be the framing around the view window. I have seen many different framing techniques and the ones that are successful are the ones that counter water bowing the sides out. With a 150g it won't need super structure but bowing is a factor even with 150g.
