:headbang2so today i finally started the big plywood build ive been planning for months... i will definately post pics tomorrow evening after work, just ran out of daylight. anyway, demensions are 92"x35"x35".. with the way i built the tank out the panel of glass will have to be roughly 85" long x 32" tall. with these measurements what thickness of glass will i need to get?? thanks for the help, i would have used one of the calculators but seems to be lots of fuss over the results.

With the tank being 35" tall you are looking at 3/4" glass to be safe. If you raise the viewing window off the bottom of the tank 5-6" or drop the overall height of the tank that amount you can use 1/2". Crossing that 30" line pretty much jumps you up to 3/4". When I built my tank, my glass was 93x28, the price difference between 1/2" and 3/4" was $210 vs $800!
