Starting a 55 gallon salt, need some info+help

I cant find a cheaply priced 125-180 around here, and I've been looking for a while so Im going to set a 55 gallon saltwater aquarium. It fits in my budget much better to.

Im on a tight budget of around $400 for filtration,mix,etc. I have the tank already and will get live rock and other as money flows in.

Any reccommended filters that are relatively cheap and due the job very well? Protein Skimmer?
Ideal setups?

I'm hoping that the centerpeice is going to be Radiata Lionfish.

Other fish?

55 is too small for a pterois lionfish, sorry

but if you were going for maybe a dwarf lion or other smaller fish.. buy as much live rock as you can and a few good powerheads and rely mostly on that and a light stocking untill you can get money for futher equipment..
