In my experience, maybe 2, 3 would be a push. I cant even keep any 2 of mine together without one living in a corner with a scaled side, no matter how big the tank is unless I divide it. If divided 3 times you could keep 3 or so but I dont like how it looks personaly so I just give mine a tank to themselves. 2 of my femals accept smaller Red Devils and cat fish as tank mates.
