Hello everyone,

I am getting geared up to start my own company to breed FW rays and other fish in the tropical fish trade.
So far Ive been just looking for financing (dont worry not asking anyone hear).So far that is looking very promising may get close to 750 k to start up its nice to be a combat vet ...nice goverment grant programs for wounded veterns.
What I need to from you all is any suggestion on types of fish you would like seen sold at my store ie types of fish and equipment and services.

I will be located in the Harpers Ferry, WV area close to both Baltimore and Washington D.C area about 1 hour to 1 1/2 hour from each.

I am also looking for local suppliers and any suggestions on set would be welcome.

My store will not be open for at least 3 month as I am waiting to retire from active duty.

If you are going to the stingray simposum I will be thier.

If you have that much capital to work with, maybe try the rarer (aka more expensive) species. Pearls and tigers? It depends on your level of experience with rays though.
 
:DI would love to see some baby monsters of any type as long as the get over two feet.

ok with that out the way i think you should focus on mortors and teacup rays but also my be p14 and the tiger ray

Well Druu in fact I plan on breeding and selling the following types of fish.

Rays :
Tigers / China /Antenna / Leopodi and serveral others.

Fish: Discus/ Angelfish (Altums) at least import them and attempt to start captive spawning/Catfish (Corycats) / tetras and othe comman types of fish seen on the market.

Saltwater fish: Seahorses OTHER SPECIES TBA

I am also starting up a tank setup and maintance service for customers that have tankS larger then 75 gallons.
I will also be selling my live stock on the web and will ship to you. I also plan having an importers lic to get real monster fish (with in the law ) imported for my customers and will do special orders on a case by case basis.

I will keep everyone up to speed as things devlope.

i wish you the best of luck breeding tiger rays... only a few have done it and there set up is massive... also consider the black ray market is all on mike for the states for the most part so competition is high with great reputable person.. also there is another vendor who breeds motoro rays.... it will take along time to get rays breeding its not a plug and play option..... there is alot of competition and considering you will have to buy pups and grow them out will make it be quite a few years before you get anything...wish ya the best of luck but consider all of the competition and everything else before you try it... fish is not the most profitable buissness...
