Built first stand today. Rack system to hold three 40 gallon breeder tanks.

Starting my fish room build

Well I live in SW FL so no basement. I'm using a spare room, basically 10.5 ft x 10 ft so need to conserve space. One wall is a closet which i bred killifish in before. And one wall has an egress window which the computer desk is in front of. So I have 2 walls to work with. Planning on putting a 180 gallon tank on the wall underneath the eyebrow window in the pic above. Thinking of having Potho plants hanging off sill and into the back of the 180 with roots in water of tank. 180 will have a sump, most likely another 40 breeder tank. This rack will hold 3 forty breeder tanks on the adjacent wall. May build another rack for smaller tanks later. Going to build the 180 stand with 2 x 8's for the spans & 2x 6's for the legs and bracing. Just taking my time and enjoying myself. Filled all the screw holes on the rack with wood filler. Going to get some stain tonight "mocha brown" and will sand and stain tomorrow. Hoping Petco has a tank sale soon so I can grab 4 forties.. LOL
The forties will have Matten filters run off 1 air supply.
