This is going to be 2 salt tanks hooked together. A 55 on top and a 29 on the bottom.

I have a metal rack/stand that can fit 2 55s. I'll be putting a 55 on the top for my reef tank and using an overflow I'll have water drain down to a 29 with a small sump installed. Next to the 29 will be my shiny new fx5 that will be hooked to the 55. I'm thinking that ill need more flow than just a slow flow threw the bottom tank so I'll put my protien skimmer on it.

Stock in the 55 will be:
1. As many corals as I can fit over time:)
2. 1 true percula clown
3. 1 powder blue
4. 1 eibl's angle
5. 2 purple fire fish
6. 1 6 line wrasse
7. 1 little yellow wrasse that I can't think of the name
8. 1 scooter blenny
9. 1 lawnmower goby/jeweled rockskipper

Bottom 29
No clue. I want it to be a growup tank for a cool grouper or something but my girl thinks it should be sea horses. Sea horses are starting to win the argument because it could double as a planted refugium.

Any thoughts??

Yea I'm starting this site is mostly fresh. Lol
That canister will be great for my setup. A sump is better but the fx5 is plenty of filtration. I'll do a wet dry too eventually but this setup is in my bedroom and I don't want to listen to a wet dry.

you need to do your research before you waste a bunch of money on coral. you are talking about loading this tank full of coral and possibly putting a grouper in there? you clearly need to do some reading my friend... the fx5 is a decent filter but is less than ideal for a reef tank. i'd listen to the guy with that really nicce black belt and join a reef forum. haha do some research first though, reefers can be dicks
